The College

Coleg Meirion Dwyfor - DolgellauSituated in North West Wales Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor is a bilingual college that has three main campuses – Dolgellau, Pwllheli and Glynllifon. The college offers a wide range of courses and training opportunities and has excellent facilities on all its campuses. Students are taught in a warm, friendly environment and all students are given a Personal Tutor to provide guidance and support throughout their time at Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor.

The college has a Student Services team that can provide students with support, information and advice on issues such as grants and careers.

Courses

Colege Meirion Dwyfor Indoor JumpingColeg Meirion-Dwyfor offers full time and part time courses for school leavers and adults; it also has a range of training schemes for individuals that are interested in Work Based Learning. Community Courses, day and night classes, are also offered at local centres through out the area.

14 -19 years of age

Coleg Meirion- Dwyfor has a wide variety of courses ranging from foundation and entry level to A LevelsĀ  and vocational subject such as Engineering, Catering Hairdressing or Construction. Pwllheli and Dolgellau offer a selection of academic and vocational courses, Glynllifon is a land based centre and has courses such as Forestry, Animal Care, Agriculture and Equine Studies. Adults can also study some Higher Education courses.

Adult Learners

The college has a programme of Community Courses that it runs each term. The courses, day and night classes, are held in centres across the local community. Whether you would like to improve your IT skills to help you get ahead at work, gain a certificate to use a chainsaw, learn a new language for you trip to France or perhaps pick up a new hobby, we will have something that will be of interest.

Apprenticeships and Traineeship

Coleg Meirion Dwyfor Myfyrwyr PwllNot all students will want to follow a full time course at college, but will still want to earn a qualification. The Work Based Learning scheme allows students to earn a wage, or training allowance, and gain their qualifications at the same time. So that prospective students can visit the college, speak to the tutors and learn more about the courses available, the college holds a series of Open Days on all its campuses.
