South East Wales
From the Severn Bridge to the valleys of South Wales and heading west toward Barry, South East Wales is the most populous of all the Welsh regions. It is home to the capital, Cardiff, the centre of Welsh Government and the largest city in the country.
Other large centres of population are concentrated at Newport, Merthyr Tydfil and Bridgend, towns with industrial roots and progressive redevelopments underway.
The colleges in this region are Barry College, Bridgend College, Coleg Glan Hafren Coleg Morgannwg, Coleg Gwent, Merthyr Tydfil College and Ystrad Mynach College.
