The College
Bridgend College is a dynamic Further Education College providing a wide range of quality education and
training opportunities to more than 16,000 students each year. Situated across 5 campuses, with the main hub in Bridgend, our students can also choose to study a course locally at Pencoed, Maesteg or Porthcawl or at our Higher Education centre in the heart of Bridgend.

Courses

With the widest range of course subjects and levels of study – we’re confident that you’ll find suitable GCSEs, NVQs, First Diplomas, National diplomas or AS & A2 levels here at Bridgend.
We also offer an expanding range of Foundation Degrees.

Apprenticeships & Traineeships
Our Modern Apprenticeships are a quality choice for both employers and young people with the potential to achieve qualifications at NVQ Levels 2 or 3 (full craft status).
We have successfully delivered work-based NVQs for over a decade to a number of major organisations including Corus, Avana Bakeries, Bro Morgannwg NHS Trust, Cardiff & Vale NHS Trust, South Wales Police, First Group Bus, Valleys to Coast, Pontypridd and the Rhondda NHS Trust.
Higher Education, Post Graduate & Professional
You’ll be surprised to hear that over 1,OOO students choose to study a full or part-time HE course with us at Bridgend College. Validated by our university partners, the University of Glamorgan, University of Wales Institute, Cardiff and the University of Wales, Newport – we offer local and an increasing number of regional students the opportunity to study Higher Education ‘on their doorstep’.

Adult Learners
As one of the largest providers of part-time study in the area, offering over 26O part-time courses, we offer a stimulating and flexible environment for learners who are studying in their spare time, after a period of time at home or for those who wish to progress in their existing careers.
Student facilities include a open access IT suites, day nursery and parking at most campuses.
Part-time study can be during the day an/or evening.
Employers
The team at the Bridgend College Business Centre works directly with you and your business to provide the training opportunities you need to develop your workforce.
Programmes across a wide spectrum of subjects are delivered as:
• Short training courses
• Modern Apprenticeships and
• NVQs in the workplace.

Open Days
Join us at one of our Open Days…it’s a day when we open our doors to new students. It’s a great way to check us out, explore the campus where you’ll be studying and chat to our lecturers to discuss the range of course choices available. Also on offer are workshops, demonstrations and student financial support advice!!!
We hold several Open Day events throughout the year – November, March, June and two events in August.
