South & West Wales
Defined by its coastline and countryside, South West Wales stretches out from the Afan Valley to Swansea and the Gower peninsula, across the ‘garden county’ of Carmarthenshire to the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
There are still thriving centres of steel, manufacturing and chemical industries at Port Talbort and Milford Haven, it is home to Wales’ second city, Swansea, the important market town of Carmarthen and the re-emerging town of Llanelli, with it’s progressive residential and commercial developments.
The colleges in this area are Coleg Sir Gar, Gorseinon College, Neath Port Talbot College, Pembrokeshire College and Swansea College.
